ACRYLIC PAINTING TECHNIQUESE

Enjoy learning how to use acrylics and its quick drying advantages to create beautiful works of art that have depth and luminosity. Join me while I teach easy techniques of acrylic painting for both the beginner and experienced artist. Students will explore various subject matter which include; live still life arrangements set up in the studio, landscape photo that includes a water feature, and a favorite animal photo. Fundamental elements of form, light and shadow, blocking in of color, value, composition, etc. will be covered. Learn to work wet in wet as well as glazing techniques to build up a finished painting. Eco-printing is a technique which involves bundling leaves and paper and then boiling the bundles in water with vinegar. Using flowers, leaves and rusted objects we’ll dye paper using organic “dye”, such as dried blueberries and onion skins.
