ACRYLIC PAINTING TECHNIQUES

Enjoy learning how to use acrylics and its quick drying advantages to create beautiful works of art that have depth and luminosity. Join me while I teach easy techniques of acrylic painting for both the beginner and experienced artist. Students will explore various subject matter which include: live still life arrangements set up in the studio, a landscape photo that includes a water feature, and a favorite animal photo. Introduction to Stone Carving

This course is intended as an introduction to time-honored hand carving techniques for sculpting stone. We will be working outside, weather permitting. It is intended as an ongoing class. We will work through summer and fall until it is too cold to work outside. We will skip bad weather days and add the missed days at the end of the 4-week cycle. INTROD TO FLUID ART PAINT POURING WORKSHOP

Have fun in this Paint Pouring workshop. We will cover an overview of pouring history and the 15 plus different pouring techniques. Also, we will cover mixing formulas and proper measuring of paints. MONO-PRINTING WITHOUT A PRESS WORKSHOP
Janet Slater

Learn to make works of art using a gel plate. (A gel plate is a flexible, durable, jelly-like plate onto which acrylic paint is applied to make prints on paper or fabric.) Through the process of acrylic paint mono-typing we will explore mark making, layering and masks to create pieces that can stand alone as works of art or as a foundation for layering with other mediums. Instructor will provide plexiglass plate, paints & supplies. Materials fee $15.00 payable to the instructor. JEWELRY MAKING WORKSHOP

In this four-session workshop, learn how to design & create your own silver or gold jewelry by carving your own unique design. You will learn to carve your design in Jeweler’s wax, which can then be cast in silver or gold by sending it to a jewelry foundry for an additional expense. PORTRAIT DRAWING WORKSHOP
